This December, as #Movember wraps up for this year, LTPC will kick off its work with the new European Parliament, to ensure men’s health remains a priority year-round and shine a spotlight on the most prevalent male cancer: prostate cancer. With the inauguration of the new European Commission, we have a unique opportunity to raise awareness and drive action on this critical health issue. 

Prostate cancer affects millions of men across Europe, and early detection remains key to saving lives. 

The event, hosted by MEP Romana Jerkovic, aims to push prostate cancer and men’s health to the forefront of the EU health agenda and encourage Member States to prioritise screening initiatives that will help reduce preventable deaths and improve quality of life for patients. Furthermore, “Uniting for Prostate Cancer: Advancing Screening and Care in the EU” will promote dialogue among stakeholders to ensure future national efforts are met with the right level of support from EU institutions.
